.info is three years old and going strong

Last week Afilias, the .info registry operator, presented a three-year analysis of .info's performance since being launched in 2001. The report states that .info is now the sixth largest domain in terms of registrations, which number over 1.5 million. According to the report, 71% of these are active sites. The report also claims that German script .info Internationalised Domain Names (IDNs) have been successful - over 18,000 have been registered since launch in March 2004. And, according to the report, Europe represents the majority of .info registrations, at 54% of total .info registrations versus North America's 38%.

.md domains available from NetNames

The Moldovia (.md) country-code Top Level Domain (ccTLD) has been marketed as having relevance to the healthcare industry. NetNames is one of the few registrars offering the .md domain.
