.pk (Pakistan) tentative availability
It is likely the Pakistan registry will make 2nd-level .pk
domains available in the coming months. General availability is
likely to be preceded by a sunrise period for trademark holders.
More information will follow as soon as we have it.
.vn (Vietnamese) release now scheduled for June
It is now thought that .vn domains will be made available in June
of this year. An additional public sunrise period is scheduled for
mid-April, ahead of the general release.
ICANN news
ICANN have announced that Telcordia Technologies, the company
chosen to evaluate the applicants for management of the .net domain
from July of this year, will post their final report and rankings on
the ICANN.org website on 28th March. They also intend to post a
revised version of their three year Strategic Plan, incorporating
feedback from the recently completed public comment forum, on the
same date.
