bbc.com
cost £213,000 back in the boom The Times
newspaper recently reported that the BBC has revealed it paid
$375,000 (£213,000) in order to buy bbc.com from a US company
during the peak of the dot-com boom. As reported in last week's N3
lite, the reseller market for domain names has recently seen quite a
few 6-figure sum sales for generic domain names such as vip.com. It
is also a well known fact that all 3-letter .com domain names have
been registered for some time now.
