Extension of 2nd-level .pk sunrise period

Sunrise applications for 2nd-level .pk domains will be accepted until the end of the third and final 'queuing period', which has now been set by the registry as 31st October 2005. Open registration is expected to begin at the end of November.

bbc.com cost £213,000 back in the boom

The Times newspaper recently reported that the BBC has revealed it paid $375,000 (£213,000) in order to buy bbc.com from a US company during the peak of the dot-com boom. As reported in last week's N3 lite, the reseller market for domain names has recently seen quite a few 6-figure sum sales for generic domain names such as vip.com. It is also a well known fact that all 3-letter .com domain names have been registered for some time now.
